Saturday
- Woke up late in the afternoon -- a fact depressing enough to
warrant going back to bed after a failed attempt at getting up.
Not to mention that when I woke up, I felt as though I hadn’t
slept at all. Maybe it was because the house was too hot. Maybe
I had some sleep apnea. At any rate, my day finally began at 7pm.
(That would be approximately 14 hours of sleep.)
- The woman that Stephanie introduced to me wrote, inviting me
to a music concert. But I got the email too late and already had
plans:
- Saw a dance performance with Matthew’s roommate Tishalulei.
The dance troupe wasn’t that good. I’d seen them a
year ago and hoped it would be better this second time around,
but not so. However, there was a guest dancer down from New York,
Jennifer
Nugent, who was amazing. She performed her piece Peal.
- Tish and I had a wonderful evening of good conversation.
- After I got home I did approximately three hours of piano practice.
(Very proud of myself for that.)
- Matthew came over about an hour before the Scream’n Bean
closed. We ate chocolates from Europe dipped in peanut butter
from the health food store and then headed out for some “It’s
only a game, Scrabble.” I can’t wait to win so that
I too can explain, “It’s only a game.”
- After getting home at three in the morning, farted around on
the computer for an hour or so.
- The party house next door was going at it and thus I called
the Police. The trick is to ask to see an Officer so that you
know they come out. They sent THREE. I was so pleased. Apparently
they laid the smack down pretty hard.
- Sleep and dreams.
